What Tampee does
Tampee classifies cannabis strains by their terpene profile (the aromatic compounds that shape how a strain smells and tends to feel) and by the effects people report, rather than by the indica/sativa label alone. For any terpene + effect pairing, we rank the strains that lead with that terpene by how strongly they report that effect, and link each to its most similar neighbours.
Where the numbers come from
Terpene and effect figures are drawn from aggregated laboratory results and reported data. Where a lab Certificate of Analysis (COA) is on file for a strain, the terpene value is measured; otherwise it is estimated from the strain’s known profile. THC figures are typical values, not a guarantee of any specific batch. All written analysis is original to Tampee.
How these pages are made
These terpene-and-effect pages are generated automatically from Tampee’s dataset and refresh as the data grows — that’s why a page can cover hundreds of strains and stay current. The rankings are computed (terpene prominence and reported-effect strength); the explanations are written by us. We publish a page only when it offers a genuinely useful, distinct answer.
What we deliberately don’t do
- We don’t sell cannabis and we don’t list dispensary prices.
- We don’t make medical claims. Effect associations describe terpene chemistry and what users report — not treatment of any condition.
- We don’t copy or republish any third-party database; every description and ranking here is Tampee’s own.
